Formerly trained by Karl Burke the son of Havanna Gold won the Group 2 Cazoo Sandy Lane Stakes at Haydock and the Listed Spring Cup Stakes. Winning six races on the bounce El Caballo was successful over 5, 6 and 7 furlongs and was a 4L two-year-old winner. El Caballo is out of Showcasing mare Showstoppa, herself a 4-time winner and dam of five winners. As the only other stallion to stand at stud by the same sire as Havana Grey El Caballo offers breeders incredible value on a speed-on-speed pedigree.
El Caballo covered 100 mares in his first season at stud, which included 25% Black Type performers/producers. We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of his first crop of foals in 2025.
